Dag 20: Juliénas - Sathonay-Camp (68 km)

W've left the Beajoulais region and got back to the plains of the Saône. For the first time in almost three weeks I found that the route descriptions weren't precise enough. As a result we made less (!) kms to reach the outskirts of Lyon. It also brought us to a bicycle repair man to have the brakes adjusted. We went relatively often over dirt roads and very small sand paths, but as a whole it was a nice cycling day.

We have completed over 1200 kms now and must soon take a decision as to the last part of the journey. We might change plans. One reason is that my elder son, who works for African Parks in Malawi, has been offered and accepted a job in the north of Bénin, the country where he spent the first years of his childhood. I wouldn't forgive myself not having visited him in Malawi. And so far I haven't. Given his departure and obligations the visit can probably best be planned mid July.
