Dag 2. Macharen - Borkel en Schaft (73,5 km)

31 mei 2018 - Borkel en Schaft, Nederland

Today we basically drove southward, crossing the Province of North Brabant in the South of the Netherlands and arrived without major challenges at the Swallow's Nest, a farmer's campsite. There heaven opened it's gates and we got the showers that we miraculously had avoided during the day.

We've travelled through towns like Oss, the Dutch socialist rampart with excellent cycle tracks, Heeswijk-Dinther with unequalled coffee ('Cook-Boon'), Son and Breugel with fresh fish from Volendam and Borkel and Schaft with a local fanfare that needs more practice and less beer.

So just a classical quality day. For the interested, in St. Oedenrode they now have also 'Zotte zaterdagen on Thursday', something like Monday's madness on Wednesday. We've gone through carnival country

Waaom in het Engels? I think for Andre it's the same as for me. Through our international lives we have so many friends who don't speak Dutch. Therefore, English is the most common language.

Piet, dit reisblog is gekoppeld aan Facebook en zoals Elma opmerkt zitten daar veel niet Nederlandstaligen onder.
Gelukkig is mijn Engels net zo simpel als de systeemkaart van Han Oskam 🤔
